Second Forum for Corporate Foundations

On the 17th of October, our chairman Emilia Gromadowska took part in the Second Forum for Corporate Foundations. Over a hundred other NGO representatives discussed volunteer work, strategy, public image and working with other non-profit organizations. They exchanged knowledge about developing effective programs and facing common challenges. The Center for Research and Social Innovation Stocznia conducted a lecture about bridging gaps in equal access to education and the effect of educational reforms on society. The presented research results confirmed that it is important to focus on helping young Poles in obtaining the best education possible, even though the financial situation of Polish families is improving. However, there is still very few young people (whose parents finished their education on a high school level) who decide to continue their education at universities (only 10% of respondents). The meeting confirmed our confidence in our scholarship program at the EFC Foundation. It continuously responds to one of the most important social issues discussed - bridging the educational gap among young students.
