Andrzej
Czernecki

Roman Czernecki's activity and philosophy inspired his son, Andrzej Czernecki, an entrepreneur, innovator, member of parliament in the first and second terms, philanthropist, and founder of the EFC Foundation.
He was a nuclear physicist by education, but after the fall of communism he became one of Poland's leading businessmen, founding HTL Strefa, a company that revolutionized diabetes treatment worldwide, capturing 85% of the global market for blood glucose testing devices.
However, his business successes did not diminish his sense of social mission. In 2008, he established a foundation named after his father to address the challenges facing education in Poland.

Andrzej Czernecki laid the structural foundations upon which the EFC Foundation continues to stand and operate to this day.

Currently, the mission of the EFC Foundation is continued by Andrzej Czernecki's sons, Igor and Andrzej Jr. The former is the president of the Foundation, a doctor of social sciences, and a lecturer at the University of Warsaw and University College London. In his academic work, he focuses on political philosophy and the philosophy of education. The latter sits on the Foundation's Board, is a financier, and ensures the organization's financial liquidity.
Under their leadership, the Foundation is evolving, adapting to the challenges of today. It supports the development of the social sector in Central and Eastern Europe. It focuses on partnership, investing in inspiring people, original ideas, and innovative social solutions aimed at building a strong democratic community.
