"Polish-Jewish Heritage of the Republic of Poland. Challenges of Memory and Education"
Last week the Muzeum Historii Żydów Polskich POLIN hosted an international educational conference entitled "Polish-Jewish Heritage of the Republic of Poland. Challenges of Memory and Education." Teachers participated in great workshops and discussions and had the opportunity to talk about differences without stereotypes, ways to talk about multicultural contexts and how to talk about Jews and the Jewish heritage at school.
We are thrilled that we had such a strong EFC representation during the event. The principal of the Elektroniczne Zakłady Naukowe in Wrocław (thar's where our scholars study!) joined us during workshops conducted by our regional coordinator, Aneta Ceglarek. Aneta's session touched the complicated subject of memory and teaching about Jews in the region incorporated to Poland in 1945. Our irreplaceable Mirosław Skrzypczyk from Szczekociny was also there!
