5th Education Inspiration Programme wrapped up

A wrap-up meeting of the 5th Education Inspiration Programme is behind us. After a long pandemic-induced break we met in person with teachers and their students in Warsaw. It was the voice of the teens that rang out the loudest at the project fair.

The wrap-up meeting was held on 13 June in the state-of-the-art space of Brain Embassy Czackiego with over 100 teachers and students attending. The teams showcased their activities in a fair format in two rounds so that everyone could have an opportunity to both share the outcomes of their own project work and listen to other teams presenting their efforts and get inspired, in the true spirit of the programme’s name Education Inspiration! We learned about creating a shadow play, had a dive into the secrets of the brain, took a journey into a Minecraft made world of school canon books and learned how to grow a flower meadow and much more. These are only some of the many topics and stories that we got to know that day. It was great to listen to students beaming with pride at their efforts and speaking enthusiastically about their projects. You could hear in their stories that they truly owned their projects.

We believe that the photos and the video coverage to follow soon will manage to convey at least some of the energy, emotions and good education we experienced that day. We also asked visitors to our stand for their on-the-spot impressions. What was a recurring theme in the feedback? Attention was drawn to the variety of topics and activities prepared by the teams for visitors to their stands. We were pleased to see that teachers had placed ownership and empowerment in the hands of young people, who took the lead in presenting their activities. The autonomy of the young could be seen in the very projects. The increasing parent engagement in school-based activities is also an encouraging trend to see. The rooms were packed with enthusiasm and joy from the challenges taken and satisfaction from the tasks completed. All participants were in good spirits as they celebrated the conclusion of their projects, and deservedly so.

On behalf of the EFC Foundation and the School with Class Foundation we would like to thank you for that energetic day. And we already can’t wait to meet again and thus invite you now to join the 6th Education Inspiration programme, which starts recruiting in August; details will be available soon!
