The School with Class Foundation

The School with Class Foundation is an independent educational institution. The SZK Foundation supports bold and passionate teachers and principals in their development, helping them educate young people to become conscious and active members of the community. It leads programs which help students develop 21st century skills: critical thinking, teamwork, self-awareness and confidence, problem-solving and communication. The Foundation was built on experiences derived from the School with Class program, which for the past 16 years has seen nearly 9 000 participating schools from all over Poland.

The School with Class Foundation is the operator and co-organizer of the Education Inspiration program.

Center for Citizenship Education

Established in 1994, the CEO (Center for Citizenship Education) is a non-governmental educational foundation. CCE works to promote values of civic knowledge, practical skills and attitudes that are a crucial part of democracy founded on the rules of law and civil society. CCE also operates as a non-profit teacher-training institute registered with the Ministry of National Education. Each year, the CEO awards the Irena Sendlerowa Prize "for fixing the world" to teachers, who work with students to change their local community and quality of learning. The EFC Foundation proudly co-funds this moving event.

The Good Network Foundation

The Good Network Foundation is an organization whose most important goals are to develop knowledge about scholarships and e-volunteering, as well as to promote new technologies as tools to strengthen the civil community. The Good Network Foundation, along with the Orange Foundation and the Polish-American Freedom Foundation, runs the mojestypendium.pl platform. The platform is a place where you can find the most recent scholarship programs, various competitions and educational information. The mojestypendium.pl portal prepared and carried out a cooperation plan to promote the “Education Dreams” program.

The Clifford Chance Law Firm is one of the leading international law firms, whose Polish office has been launched in Warsaw in 1992. It has an extensive experience in providing legal advisory services for many transactions. The Warsaw CSR/Pro bono practice is part of the Clifford Chance global CSR policy with its goals carried out locally. Within its pro bono activities, Clifford Chance carries out the mission of supporting the development of a civil community in Poland. The Clifford Chance Legal Firm has been providing the EFC Foundation with pro bono legal services since February 2016.

Kościuszko Foundation

The Kosciuszko Foundation is dedicated to promote educational and cultural exchanges between the United States and Poland and to increase American understanding of Polish culture and history. Founded in 1925, the Foundation is a national not-for-profit, nonpartisan, and nonsectarian organization. The Foundation's work reaches audiences throughout the United States, through its headquarters in New York City and its regional Chapters. The Kosciuszko Foundation is a membership organization, which is supported by contributions from foundations, corporations, and individuals who share the Foundation's mission of fostering the relations and understanding between the United States and Poland. In 2019, the Kosciuszko Foundation began its cooperation with the EFC Foundation. English teachers from the KF will join the Horizons scholars during their summer vacation to teach them English throughout their stay in Mierki.

Jerzy Juzon Educational Foundation

Since 2012, the Jerzy Juzon Educational Foundation gives scholarships to students from rural areas all around Poland, who are at the beginning of their academic career but cannot afford higher education. The scholarship provides young and ambitious people with a chance for a better future. The EFC maintains a close relationship with the Jerzy Juzon Foundation, as their scholarship is a natural continuation of our Horizons Scholarship Program.

Kursy Sowa

Kursy Sowa are courses dedicated to high school students, who are preparing for their final Matura exams. During lectures and classes, they can strenghten and deepen their knowledge gained at school. Each year, the Horizons Scholarship Program scholars profit from extracurricular classes offered by Kursy Sowa.

Akademeia

Akademeia High School is a private high school, based in Warsaw, which offers a multidimensional education system and extensive preparation for admission applications to prestigious foreign universities. The faculty co-creating the school are teachers with a passion and many years of experience in educational advisory. The philosophy behind Akademeia assumes that the educational process should begin by diagnosing the student’s potential, finding out what his skills and predispositions are. In the academic year 2016/2017 Akademeia took under its care an EFC Scholar and helped him prepare for university exams in the UK. He was given extra language lessons and individual SAT prep. This year, another one of our Scholars is currently in her 2nd High School grade at Akademeia.

The Polish Donors Forum

The Polish Donors Forum is an association of financially independent organizations (foundations and associations), which gives donations to socially beneficial causes. The organizations work in fields such as science and education, as well as community service. The Forum was created in order to improve the skills of grant donors and to promote good practices in non-profit organization finances. The Forum also undertakes activities aimed at creating favourable conditions for giving and a transparent and friendly environment for donors and their grantees. The EFC Foundation joined the Donors Forum on March 14th, 2017.

Polish Business Roundtable

Polish Business Roundtable is an organization that brings together owners and key managers of the biggest Polish companies and international firms working in Poland. PRB members represent a vast majority of Polish economy sectors. 2017 marked the 25th birthday of the organization. It works towards strengthening the Polish economy, promoting enterpreneurship, creating a space for public debate between businessmen and women. It partners with numerous non-profit organizations and public institutions in order to build a stable economy and effective administration. The EFC Foundation finances the Andrzej Czernecki Prize in the social activism category, awarded during the annual PRB gala. We also collaborate on building a family foundation network.

Shipyard - Center for Social Innovation and Research

Shipyard – Center for Social Innovation and Research was created with the aim of critical and reliable description of challenges of social life in Poland and to search for and promote effective, innovative methods of reacting to them, based on the principles of civic participation. It also aspires to be a place of formation and intellectual development of persons from different environments, ready to engage in public affairs in a way going beyond individual interests. The Shipyard wants to be a lively centre of discussions on the importance, nature and conditions favourable to development of social innovations, as well as to become one of the initiators and leaders of wider reflection on the essence and methods of civic participation. Its ambition is to create and test solutions for various social challenges that can be launched into real life practice and contribute to meaningful social change. Shipyard supports and advises the EFC Foundation. The organization moderated changes implemented in the Horizons Scholarship Program. It also organized a workshop for the Roman Czernecki School Complex in Szczekociny.

DOMIN Studio - logo

DOMIN Studio

The DOMIN Drawing Studio organizes freehand drawing and painting classes for candidates applying for the Architecture faculty at ASP, as well as other artistic and design faculties. The courses are created for people who need drawing and sketching skills at work, as well as people who simply do it as a hobby. The Studio has a rule which states there is no such thing as talent and you can teach anyone to draw. DOMIN sponsors drawing courses for EFC Foundation scholars.

Association 61 - logo

Association 61

Association 61 is an independent, non-governmental organisation. Its main goal is to provide citizens with information about people who work in the public sector. Since 2006, their website mamprawowiedziec.pl has been displaying information about the professional and social experience of those in public office, their political viewpoints and activity, as well as about the financial situation of members of parliament and the European Parliament, city presidents and political candidates. Before all the elections, the website sends questionnaires to candidates, which include a series of questions about their area of expertise, viewpoints and strategic goals. Association 61 built a vast database, which enables citizens to make conscious choices. After the elections, the organisation continues to monitor the changes in the information provided by the elected candidates. During our scholars’ summer vacation, representatives of the Association conducted a series of workshops about social awareness, critical thinking and distinguishing fake news from reliable information online.

UWC Poland

The Paweł Czartoryski United World Colleges Association is an independent, non-profit NGO with a Public Benefit Organization status. Its main goal is supporting the development of a civil society through the international education of youth in the spirit of tolerance, the protection of human rights and social engagement. Since its creation in 1991, the Association sponsored over 300 two year scholarships. The average value of one such scholarship is 230 000 PLN. EFC Scholars who are dreaming of attending a High School abroad, have the opportunity to participate in the UWC recruitment process every year.
