EFC Alumni Association general meeting and Christmas party in the EFC Foundation
December 15th, 2018. Shortly before Christmas, we hosted the EFC Alumni Association annual general meeting. Over sixty participants met in Warsaw in order to choose their new board, which will represent 118 members. Kornelia Dziaduła has been nominated as the new board chairwoman, Tomasz Łukiewicz is her assistant, Kornelia Kozłowska is the new designated treasurer and Łukasz Stępień became the EFC Alumni secretary. The association members thanked the previous board: chairwoman Barbara Animucka, her assistant Ania Kowalska, treasurer Patrycja Siewierska and secretary Agata Firek. The entirely female board managed the association for two full years. The members also thanked EFC coordinator Kalina Żaczek for seven years of looking after the EFC Alumni. Apart from the vote, the meeting was filled with discussions about crucial topics and challenges facing the EFC Alumni Association, which concluded with a productive workshop.
In the evening, the Alumni organized their fifth annual Christmas party in the EFC Foundation headquarters. Just as in previous years, everyone was invited - the Foundation’s board members, the program board, as well as all the staff and EFC friends. The alumni organized a Christmas fair. This year, they gathered beautiful, handmade gifts donated by the EFC scholarship program participants. The profits from the auction will enable us to send out Christmas packages to our most needy scholars. According to tradition, we exchanged Christmas greetings, sang carols and shared a delicious Christmas meal!
